Multnomah Channel Clean Up
On September 8th, 2018, between 10:00AM and 2:00PM, paddlers and boaters will come together at two locations to remove trash from the river. This is the Multnomah Channel Clean Up.
One starting location is at the boat ramp in Scappoose by Mark’s on the Channel off of Johnson’s Landing Road. The other location is at the public boat ramp next to Mayfair Moorage. Mayfair Moorage is a floating home moorage on Sauvie Island next to the public boat ramp about two miles north of the Sauvie Island bridge.
Floating home owners are encouraged to start from their houses or one of the two meeting locations. Organizers at the starting locations, and along the water way, will have bags for collecting garbage and debris and will let you know where you can drop off bags of garbage you collect from the day. Come out and paddle, meet new people, and help clean up the Multnomah Channel.
A couple of avid paddlers and floating home residents have organized this event in conjuction with Solve Oregon, https://www.solveoregon.org/.
Agilyx will take some of the materials from the Multnomah Channel Clean Up to recycle, including polysterene. https://www.agilyx.com/
